SMART goals

The SMART in SMART goals stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound.  Defining these parameters as they pertain to your goal helps ensure that your objectives are attainable within a certain time frame. This approach eliminates generalities and guesswork, sets a clear timeline, and makes it easier to track progress and identify missed milestones.  Check out the Goal Setting Training.

Career Development Planning

Your Career Development Plan should include your top 2-3 development (SMART) goals for your current role or future roles you may be considering. Consider your strengths and areas for growth and development as you document your plan and track progress.

Succession Planning Resources

Succession Planning not only provides our employees with development opportunities, but also empowers us as an institution to proactively fill significant knowledge and skill gaps in anticipation of retirement or departure of employees in leadership and critical positions.

By leveraging a Succession Planning Toolkit, you can streamline the succession planning process, identify and develop future leaders, and ensure the long-term success and sustainability of your organization.

Stay Interviews Guidance & Training

Conduct stay interviews with current employees to assess their job satisfaction and understand why they are “staying” with WNMU.  During a stay interview, you’ll ask your employee several questions to learn what your employee values about working at WNMU as well as what WNMU, or you as a manager, could do better to increase employee engagement and retention.
